The Cub Scout Sign
The Cub Scout Sign is when a Leader puts his or her right hand in the air with the first two fingers up. This represents the listening ears of a wolf, and it means that everyone should stop talking and should turn his attention to the Leader. When the “sign is up,” Cub Scouts should respond by putting their own hands in the air and becoming quiet and attentive.
The Scoutmaster’s Benediction
This is frequently used to end a meeting. Scouts and adults cross their arms in the air over their heads and say: “Now may the Great Scoutmaster of all Scouts be with us until we meet again.”
