Planning meeting May 18

There will be a 2015-2016 planning meeting from 6 to 7 p.m. on May 18. Scouts from Troop 610 will have activities for the Cubs while the parents brainstorm ideas for next year. The meeting is open to all parents and guardians.
We strive to have at least one special activity per month. Some examples from the past include Christmas caroling, bowling, attending a Harlem Globetrotters game, camping in a cave, taking a Halloween train ride, going to Elk County to see the elk herd, campouts at various locations, and visiting the Little League Museum.
We also plan our fundraisers during the meeting. The $1 per week dues does not entirely cover the cost of national BSA rechartering, insurance, books and neckerchiefs, craft supplies, and party food. The rest is made up of fundraisers like the popcorn sale, pancake breakfasts, wreath and flower sales, etc.
Please come with ideas for activities and fundraisers for 2015-2016. If you’re excited about an idea, please bring detailed information to share. Also bring your family calendar, so that we can pick dates for activities.
